Relativism – Part 3 – Stanford Anderson, Dimitris Fatouros

Lecture date: 1987-05-14

A series of talks on the relative and the rational in the architecture and culture of the present. Chaired by Roy Landau, the conference examines the problems posed by relativism in art and architecture. Relativism raises the questions how to judge and how to compare which became central for the designer, critic or historian, in a cultural situation in which there is an absence of criteria for general agreement. This absence is conspicuous in the contemporary cultural (and architectural) context sometimes referred to as the post-modern condition.
