Portraits for the Future, a Celebration of James Barnor



Join us in celebrating the visionary photographer James Barnor. Portraits for the Future brings together world-renowned artists, photographers, musicians and leading cultural figures to reflect on the Barnor’s enduring legacy. In conjunction with the event the Serpentine will launch a campaign on Kickstarter to build a community to realise a programme of activity to bring Barnor’s work to the widest possible audiences.

#PortraitsfortheFuture is curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, Artistic Director, Kostas Stasinopoulos, Assistant Curator and Bianca Manu, Curatorial Associate. Produced by Holly Shuttleworth, Producer and Duncan Welsh, Head of Events.
