Poligon 365 Calendar Launches on Kickstarter
Poligon Ltd.
London, United Kingdom, 2016-10-25 –
After a successful campaign launching their Metal Folded Sculptures – Poligon returns to Kickstarter with a new range of etched metal interactive products; the 365 Calendar.
Poligon has taken an entirely new approach to the calendar. Using the same techniques used to create the metal sculptures – allows days to be permanently
marked by pushing in a tab as each day passes. The user keeps track of the date in a delightful way, and can mark future events like birthdays, or holidays. This can be done with a full fold or half fold, perhaps signifying a less important event. Over the course of the year the calendar transforms into something deeply personal. There are two types of calendar – folded and flat.
Design Versions
Poligon Foldable Calendar
The folded arrives flat, and you fold into the triangular form. The Poligon Foldable Calendar comes with two acrylic end caps which lock everything in place.
Poligon Magnetic Calendar
The flat calendar arrives fully assembled. Made from a etch sheet bonded to a polymer backing. Hidden within are two powerful magnets, allowing the calendar to be fridge mounted. The calendar also come with a kick stand for freestanding use.
All calendars are for 2017 and will be with backers before Christmas – making for excellent gifts.
Notes to editors:
Poligon is an award winning design studio based in London and México – known for their metal etching foldable designs, their first product range was launched in a successful Kickstarter campaign with their Foldable Metal Sculptures; including a Whale, Gorilla and Penguin all inspired by the animal kingdom. The foldable metal sculptures gained a strong global presence in the media, winning the London Design Awards in 2014. This allowed the company to develop their online shop, and collaborate with globally recognized brands
and institutions; among them Paul Smith and
The Elephant Family.
Poligon believes in expressing creativity through the use of interactive objects – their love of folding techniques and metal etching allows them to develop projects that enhance life by letting the individual be part of the project.
Poligon launched its Online Shop early this month – www.poligon.co.uk and will be running its Kickstarter campaign for The Poligon Calendar until the 10th
November.
