On January 11, 2012, The Architectural League presented a panel discussion among emerging architects and designers on the topic of pavilions, follies, and other small-scale, contemporary projects. In this video, Loverich presents his project “Burble Bup,” the City of Dreams Pavilion for Governors Island in 2011.
Michael Loverich is co-founder of Bittertang with Antonio Torres. Bittertang strives to bring humor and pleasure to the built environment by digging deep into the sensual world that surrounds us, extracting rich and hilarious fodder from overlooked eras that have contributed integral matter to the production of architectural atmospheres. Bittertang was awarded the Architectural League Prize for Young Architects and Designers in 2010.
