Architecture and Situated Technologies was a 3-day symposium presented by The Architectural League from October 19-21, 2006, that brought together researchers and practitioners from art, architecture, technology, and sociology to explore the emerging role of “situated” technologies in the design and inhabitation of the contemporary metropolis. Omar Khan is a co-organizer of Architecture and Situated Technologies. He is an architect and principal, along with Larua Garófalo, of Liminal Projects, which was among the winners of the League’s 1999 Young Architects Forum. He is co-director of the Center for Virtual Architecture at SUNY Buffalo.
