Making Tracey Emin’s My Bed | Tate

Everybody has an opinion on My Bed by Tracey Emin. As we prepare to open a landmark exhibition of the artist’s work at Tate Modern, Harry Weller (Creative Director, Tracey Emin Studio) shows us some of the elements that make up one of her most iconic sculptures. From vodka bottles to condoms and cuddly toys, these personal items form a time capsule and a self portrait, and one of the defining works of contemporary art.

See it for yourself in Tracey Emin: A Second Life, on at Tate Modern 27 February – 31 August 2026: https://www.tate.org.uk/whats-on/tate-modern/tracey-emin
