Making It Happen Exhibition | Old Manor Park Library

“Our end goal is to prove to Newham that this building can provide a space for people that live here, that is useful and productive.” Hadrian Garrard of Create London, an arts organisation existing to explore and better understand the civic role of artists, introduces us to the story of Old Manor Park Library in East London. A old Carnegie Library, the building has recently been adapted by architecture practice Apparata into a studio and arts space for the whole community.

Part of the Making It Happen exhibition in the Architecture Gallery at RIBA – until 11 May 2019.

Film by Sebastian Ziegler.
