It’s Tom with Satori Graphics back with another graphic design Illustrator tutorial; today we are going to be making Illustrator brushes for logo designing, in a fairly brief but in-depth Illustrator tutorial. You will see just how easy it is to make custom Illustrator brushes for designing a logo, or others things such as icons and patterns. The Illustrator brush we are going to be using for logo designing is the pattern brush.
This particular logo design in todays Illustrator tutorial is kind of Aztec in style, but you should play around and experiment with different Illustrator brushes and patterns, resulting in very different logo designs. I show you the method in my tutorial here at Satori Graphics, and you as designers can take those skills and go forth with inspiration on your own designs.
Illustrator brushes can be used for many different things, for example calligraphy typography design is great for pressure brushes, but today we have taken a good look at pattern brushes as a means for logo designing. And of course because Illustrator is a vector based program, your logo design and brushes will all be vectorised at the end of the tutorial, enabling your design to retain quality at any scale.
