Arch. Günter Katherl is Partner of Caramel Architekten founded in 1991 in Viena, Austria. Caramel relies on its successful participation in international architecture competitions and is often awarded contracts and commissions — including its most recent construction projects.
Besides the realization of large projects like Science Park Linz, ADIDAS world of sports Herzogenaurach etcetera the trio’s members apply themselves to teaching, research, design studies and innovative single family house projects — everything very important for them in terms of keeping their direct touch to the people. Idealism and inventive talent play a major role in their designs.
Starting with their social experiment for the Venice Biennale 2016 the new motto “building not only for but especially with people” became the most important focus of their work which at the moment they try to implement in all scales and areas of use.
