Laurel Consuelo Broughton is a designer. She explores her interests in narrative, material culture, and style within architecture, design, and fashion through projects, publications, and collaborations at a multiplicity of scales with her studio WELCOMEPROJECTS. The object as form and cultural figure features broadly throughout all her work. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at USC School of Architecture in Los Angeles.

Andrew Kovacs is a Visiting Assistant Professor at UCLA Architecture & Urban Design. Kovacs studied architecture at Syracuse University, The Architecture Association in London, and Princeton University. From 2012-2013 Kovacs was the inaugural UCLA Teaching Fellow for which he produced GOODS USED: AN ARCHITECTURAL YARD SALE at Jai and Jai Gallery in Los Angeles. Kovacs’ work on architecture and urbanism has been published widely including Pidgin, Project, Perspecta, Manifest, Metropolis, Clog, Domus, and Fulcrum. His recent design work includes a proposal for a haute dog park in downtown Los Angeles, the renovation of an airstream trailer into a mobile retail store that travels the Pacific Coast Highway and an honorable mention for the competition to design a contemporary art wing as an extension to the Lima Art Museum.
