Integrated Practice in the Curriculum Lecture at 2010 ACSA Administrators Conference SD

Digital tools in architecture and allied disciplines can distill ever more extensive and detailed data to help users better understand the dynamics of building performance and change—from the flow of energy to the flow water, resources, information, labor, and capital. These tools are the vehicle of convergence for project delivery and demand new forms of collaborative practice. This session explores the implications of digital media, collaborative practice, and paradigms for architectural pedagogy and curricula. Phil Bernstein provides an overview of industry trends that shape integrated project delivery, and address possible impacts on the structure and delivery of architectural curricula. The respondents comment on these implications from a range of perspectives.
