Incidental Space – The Swiss Pavilion at the 2016 Venice Biennale of Architecture

During the opening of the Biennale in May, ArchDaily and PLANE—SITE had the chance to speak to architect Christian Kerez and curator Sandra Oehy about their exhibition in the Swiss Pavilion in the Giardini. Entitled Incidental Space, the installation of an experimental, inhabitable object was driven by a desire to not only exhibit architecture, but to create a space specific to the Pavilion. Building from the foundation of Swiss expertise in design and form, Kerez and Oehy set out to create, in their words, “a primary, essential experience of architectonical space.”
