AI in architectural visualization doesn’t have to mean giving up control. Or at least, it shouldn’t… In this practical super tutorial, I’ll show you how I use Magnific to improve architectural renders, create animations, test design ideas, and build reusable AI workflows that fit into a real-world archviz process.
You’ll learn how to add and enhance people, improve material and vegetation realism, test design variations, upscale renders to 4K and 8K, create high-resolution detail crops, animate still images, generate timelapses and day-to-night transitions, test furniture and lighting scenarios, place consistent characters across scenes, and combine image, video, and upscaling workflows into repeatable processes.
Along the way, I’ll share practical tips for working non-destructively with Photoshop Smart Objects, speeding up rendering workflows, reducing iteration time, and maintaining creative control throughout the process.

In this tutorial you’ll learn:
Image workflows: Add people to renders, enhance 3D people, create realistic material imperfections, improve vegetation, test landscape design variations, generate design alternatives, upscale renders to 4K and 8K, and create high-resolution detail crops.
Video workflows: Animate still renders, add subtle character and vegetation movement, create cinematic camera motion, generate architectural timelapses, build day-to-night transitions, animate building elements, and create empty-to-furnished transformations.
Spaces workflows: Generate multiple lighting scenarios, test furniture options, reframe images into new viewpoints, create close-up material studies, place consistent characters across scenes, combine image and video generation, and build reusable AI workflows.
Professional workflow tips: Edit only selected areas, use non-destructive Photoshop Smart Objects, copy and paste directly between Photoshop and Magnific, speed up rendering with AI upscaling, reuse workflows across projects, keep automatic version history, and maintain creative control throughout the process.

FAQ
What is Magnific Spaces?
Think of it as an infinite canvas where you can build your own AI workflows. You can combine image editing, video generation, upscaling, prompts, and references into reusable setups for things like lighting studies, furniture testing, or character placement.
Can AI upscale renders without ruining them?
Yes, and especially if you use a precision upscaler as I show in the video. For speed, I often render from the software at a lower resolution, upscale to 4K. Or then upscale a typical 4k to 8K to create detail crops for presentations, competitions, and social media.
Can AI create videos from architectural renders?
Yep. Starting from a finished render gives you much more control. You can add subtle movement, cinematic camera motion, timelapses, day-to-night transitions, and even animate elements like shading systems. This is really where I feel AI is perfect for.
