Grayson Perry at the Turner Prize Retrospective 1984-2006 | TateShots

Grayson Perry was the surprise winner of the Turner Prize in 2003. Accepting his award dressed as his alter-ego Claire he commented:  ‘I think the art world had more trouble coming to terms with me being a potter than my choice of frocks…’

In this interview he talks about his love of pots as a medium, the significance of his caustic imagery, and his thoughts on the prize in general.
