Sofia designers
La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, 2012-02-15 –
Inspired by the drifting ice blocs on the oceans before shaping the ice floe, FLOE is a block who bring together and incite the encounter while taking part in an ensemble. The organic shape of the bench permit to create a dialogue and a tension between the installed pieces while playing with their disposition in space.
The FLOE bench has been developed in the context of an order for the renovation of the Professional School of Chablais in Aigle under the direction of Christophe Rime, architect and project manager.
Manufactured in concrete, its dimensions and its weight make it an ideal piece of street furniture.
