This webinar aims to briefly establish relationships and connections between the systemic properties of the materials and the scale of application, through digital design and fabrication processes as the catalyst agent. Geometric conditions to a diverse and accessible collection of materials will be established, through generative techniques, in order to explore their properties and potentialities as constructive modules, as well as their scalar transcendence through prototype modeling.

The tutorial will focus on:
-Exploring the relation and potential between geometry, scale and matter using generative design techniques
– Learn Form Finding techniques and simulate the geometric and material behaviors
– Introduction to basic fabrication techniques such as Mesh Unfold, Linear Element measurements and definition, modular aggregation, mesh stripping, etc.
– Identify methods to rationalize complex forms ,by studying prototypes as well as algorithmic processes
