David Chipperfield is the founder of David Chipperfield Architects (est. 1984), whose recently completed Museum of Modern Literature in Marbach, Germany, was awarded the 2007 Stirling Prize. In this excerpt from his lecture at Caspary Hall at Rockefeller University in New York City, Chipperfield discusses his design of the America’s Cup Building, Veles e Vents in Valencia, Spain.
