Construct COMPLEX Curves Based GEOMETRY in Grasshopper

In this tutorial, we will show you how to use Grasshopper to construct these extremely complex columns from the Shanghai metro Line 14 Yuyuan station. You’ll discover various methods we used including bezier curves and tangent curves. 3-point arcs and even Galapagos to optimize the initial shape of the columns.

In the extended version of this tutorial, we will show you how to complete the whole project only in Grasshopper making it fully parametric. The only input you will have is a single point from which the whole project will develop. You’ll be able to change the number of columns, their shape, size, and span, the curvature of the ceiling, and the number of ceiling panels.
