Columbia GSAPP Alumni Forum

Columbia GSAPP alumni got together to celebrate at Alumni Forum on April 21 2017. Started in 2006, the annual gathering is an opportunity for all alumni to honor their time at GSAPP, visit with friends, and to connect with alumni from across the programs and generations.

This year, GSAPP hosted alumnus Evan Sharp, co-founder of Pinterest, as our guest speaker.

The evening featured remarks by Dean Amale Andraos, followed by drinks, food, and music by DJ Michna (Ghostly International).

Evan Sharp (@evan) is the co-founder of Pinterest, where he leads all product and design efforts. A former architect, Evan finds inspiration from pinning interesting maps, science facts, architecture, vacation plans, and fonts for his design projects. Before Pinterest, Evan worked at Facebook as a product designer. He received a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Chicago and studied architecture at Columbia GSAPP. Evan hails from York, Pennsylvania, and currently resides in San Francisco, California.
