Charles Correa – The Ritualistic Pathway

To move along a pilgrim path towards a sacred centre is a primordial experience, one so embedded in the deep structure of the human mind that it has appeared in almost every society since the beginning of time’. In a lecture accompanying an AA exhibition of his work, the distinguished Indian architect and planner Charles Correa discusses five of his projects. Correa is an pioneer of low-cost shelter design for the developing world. His many awards include the RIBA Gold Medal and the Gold Medal of the Indian Institute of Architects.
