Bjarke Ingels offers a digest of PLOT’s work, attempting to identify evidence of an underlying plot beneath the apparently random mix of chance events, formal evolution and ideological (in)consistencies, gameplay, programmatic alchemy, recycling, literalness, ecology and Darwin. After working for OMA in Rotterdam, Ingels founded PLOT with Julien De Smedt in 2001. Projects from 2005 include a mosque, housing and commercial development in Copenhagen; a 1000-room hotel and conference centre in Stockholm; and redevelopment of the Cit Administratif, Brussels.
NB: Some sound distortion occurs following a marked increase in volume at the start of the short film of PLOT’s Danish Superharbour project.
