”Architecture is a job for God” – 8 Pritzker Prize Laureates on architecture

For this anthology, we have compiled interviews with eight Pritzker Prize Laureates who reflect upon their way into architecture, the nature and importance of architecture, and why you need to be an optimist to work as an architect.

Meet Wang Shu (2012 Laureate and curator of the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2027) from China, Alejandro Aravena (2016 Laureate) from Chile, Balkrishna Doshi (2018 Laureate) from India, Francis Kéré (2022 Laureate) from Burkina Faso, Anne Lacaton (2021 Laureate) from France, Riken Yamamoto (2024 Laureate) from Japan, Shelley McNamara (2020 Laureate) from Ireland, and Norman Foster (1999 Laureate) from Great Britain.

All interviews have been published on the Louisiana Channel previously and individually. This compilation has been assembled by Marc-Christoph Wagner.
