On Tuesday, November 27 we celebrated the launch of Architectural Inventions by Matt Bua & Maximilian Goldfarb. Born out of the drawingbuilding.org online archive, Architectural Inventions is a compendium of unbuilt structures that only exist on paper. Including the work of architects, designers, and artists from around the world, the book reveals an array of alternatives, expansions, or critiques of our inhabited environments told through drawing. Highlighting visions that exist outside of established channels of production and conventions of design, Architectural Inventions showcases multiplicity in concept and vision, fantasy and innovation.
Matt Bua and Maximilian Goldfarb introduced the book with some brief remarks. The drawingbuilding archive was presented as an ongoing slideshow throughout the evening.
