After an introduction by Chris Genik, Adriaan Geuze of West 8 Architecture presents a sample of his firm’s work and discusses the development of each project. The Schiphol Airport project uses birch trees, clovers, and bulb flowers to create green spaces that unify the fragmented site. The bank headquarters project in Utrecht creates a forest around an existing building that also includes a public park and a pedestrian bridge. Conversely, Geuze designed a light weight all metal floor for the Central Square in Rotterdam that is meant to be a void in the city.
