Adelita Husni-Bey

Artist Adelita Husni-Bey discussed her influences and practice, which focuses on the complexity of collectivity.

In this talk, Husni-Bey traced a line of thinking starting with pain, hurt and healing, through to anarco-collectivist models of education in relation to experimental theatre, and ending with histories and anthropologies of law-making. She is currently developing a project in collaboration with the Portman Early Childhood Centre, as part of the Serpentine Education Changing Play programme.

Unwritten Handbook is a seasonal series of conversations with artists commissioned through Education and Projects at the Serpentine Galleries. Recent Artist Talks include: Rehana Zaman, Harold Offeh, Paul Maheke, Stephanie Cubbin, Chris Jones and Janna Graham, Bedfellows, Anton Kats, Frances Rifkin, Invisible Spaces of Parenthood, Sam Curtis and Mohamad Hafeda.
