Dezeen has created this short video guide to high-tech architecture from A to Z as part of a series on the architectural style.

The video version of the A to Z contains many of the architects and buildings highlighted in Dezeen’s series on the high-tech architecture style.

Emerging in Britain during the late 1960s, high-tech buildings typically combined visible structural engineering and emerging industrial technology.

Two of the pioneers of the movement were Norman Foster and Nicholas Grimshaw, who both spoke to Dezeen in video interviews about high-tech architecture.
