On 17 October 2023, A+ Architecture in Belgium and Bozar were delighted to invite Armand Eeckels and Halewijn Lievens from NU architectuuratelier in Ghent to give an inaugural lecture. This event marked the opening of the monographic exhibition ‘Play’ devoted to their work.
Under the direction of Armand Eeckels and Halewijn Lievens, NU architectuuratelier is an architecture and design research studio. Since it was founded in 2004, the practice has taken an empathetic approach to the design process, aiming to make a qualitative contribution to our social and spatial environment. Recent projects include Huis Perrekes, a facility for people with dementia in Oosterlo. They have also worked on the botanical garden in Meise, creating a greenhouse and reception pavilions to secure and preserve the site.
