The President’s Medal is The Architectural League’s highest honor and is bestowed, at the discretion of the League’s President and Board of Directors, on individuals to recognize extraordinary achievements in architecture, urbanism, art, design, and the environment.
The Medal was presented by League President Nat Oppenheimer before an audience of about 200 supporters at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. Remarks were delivered by Paula Scher, Fern Mallis, and Wendy Evans Joseph. All three speakers served as event co-chairs alongside Rosalie Genevro, Rachel Judlowe, Debbie Millman, Paul Needham, Chee Pearlman, David Rockwell, and Betsy Smith.
