100 Day Studio: Ricardo Baptista, Adiam Sertzu & Anna Font – 'The Future of Tall buildings'

Day 48 of the 100 Day Studio: A feature of the modern world, tall buildings are driven by technological advancements, economics and globalisation, and are thus by definition very sensitive to social, political and financial changes, be it global emergencies or local crises. Ricardo Baptista, Adiam Sertzu & Anna Font of engineers AKT II discuss the impact of these events on the future of tall buildings, and the mounting challenges faced by the construction industry in reassessing the role of this typology in the urban environment, whilst exploring how the design of tall buildings can respond to the current and future constraints.
