100 Day Studio: Christoph Grafe – People's Palaces: Distant Past, Distant Present

Day 23 of the 100 Day Studio: Drawing on research that informed his 2014 book People’s Palaces, Christoph Grafe considers the development of the post-war arts centre, a building type that was often tasked with representing ideas of national identity and the realisation of a democratic society. Christoph focuses on the history of two particular projects, London’s South Bank and the Kulturhus in Stockholm.
