With offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vo Trong Nghia’s 60-person firm VTN experiments “with light, wind and water, and by using natural and local materials, employ[s] a contemporary design vocabulary to explore new ways to create green architecture for the 21st century, whilst maintaining the essence of Asian architectural expression.”
Vietnamese architect Vo Trong Nghia has developed sustainable architectural design by integrating inexpensive, local materials and traditional skills with contemporary aesthetics and modern methodologies. In this talk he discusses how his S HOUSE project has responded to the issues of affordable, durable and easy-constructable housing.
