St. Matthäus and St. Hildegardis Parish by Gottfried Böhm, 1970, Düsseldorf-Garath



Brick ground floor, exposed concrete above, with turret-like towers and rounded crenellated walls that reference medieval castle architecture. The chapel St. Hildegardis is a miniature of Böhm’s signature concrete rock, most fully realised at the Pilgrimage Church in Neviges.
