Dr Alan Powers is joint editor of the journal Twentieth Century Architecture and of the monograph series Twentieth Century Architects. Chair of the Twentieth Century Society between 2007-12 he was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal Institute of British Architects in 2008. Formerly a Professor of Architecture and Cultural History at the University of Greenwich, he currently teaches at the New York University, London. He is an acknowledged expert on 20th-century architecture.
